The first compilation of Russian Jungle and Breakbeat music, "Jungle Book," was released in 1997 and came out simultaneously on three formats — audio cassettes, CD, and vinyl. In its time, the compilation caused quite a stir and became a unique brand of sorts, which remains recognizable even beyond the genre's staunchest advocates. In 2000, the second edition, "The Jungle Book Vol. 2," was released. As usual, the "book" was divided into two chapters: Breakbeat and Jungle. In 2023, after a long hiatus for the label, the third part, "Jungle Book Vol. 3," was released. For the new “Jungle Book Vol.4” 2026 edition, we decided to adhere to tradition. The fourth volume of the book features the most interesting fresh tracks from new-wave artists, as well as from scene masters of that era. We deliberately moved away from the standard sound of modern studios because we wanted to achieve that "dirty," "basement" sound, which can confidently be attributed to the hallmark of genuine Underground.

KOS.MOS.MUSIC presents the debut "Clutterfunk EP" by Vitaly Kazakov aka Hygienic Product, a Fryazino (Moscow Region) based producer. "Clutterfunk EP" is a fierce mix of techstep and jungle, here and there it's jungle with a techstep sound and, in spots, it's the opposite - techstep on jungle rhythms. The tracks feature lots of rolling structures with random ragga-jungle samples. The entire release sets its own mood—not cheerful, but not sad either; light constantly shines on the way through the darkness. KOS.MOS.MUSIC presents a debut "Hypnotized EP" by AnnGree. The "Hypnotized EP" is imbued with the spirit of early techstep, yet absorbed many subgenres such as deep and neuro drum’n’bass. It features lots of rolling structures, with circulating jump-up grooves and industrial overtones. Moreover, most of the tracks on the release are atmospheric and even psychedelic.
