Starting with drawing Russian ornaments on graph paper, Ilya Novikov gradually developed his own understanding of sacred geometry. One of the results of this work, captured in ash wood carving, can be seen on the cover.
In parallel, he explored the world of electronic music and studied the North Indian tradition of playing the bansuri flute, while simultaneously mastering wind instruments from Japanese, Turkish, and other traditions. This research and training continue today, manifesting in music production, flute crafting, and healing meditation concerts.
In his works, Ilya seeks a fine balance between calm, healing atmospheres and the unrestrained energy of drums, where the ultimate measure is the beauty of the final result.

“Dream” is an atmospheric jungle track built on classic breakbeats, deep sub-bass, and subtle piano accents. The driving rhythm creates tension and forward motion, while soft female vocals add an intimate, emotional layer that feels like an inner voice of reassurance.
The contrast between raw, old-school jungle energy and gentle melodic elements reflects the core idea of the track — holding onto hope and inner strength during moments of uncertainty. “A Dream Has to Live” blends nostalgic jungle aesthetics with a modern, cinematic atmosphere, making it suitable both for focused listening and late-night, immersive sessions.

The first compilation of Russian Jungle and Breakbeat music, "Jungle Book," was released in 1997 and came out simultaneously on three formats — audio cassettes, CD, and vinyl.
In its time, the compilation caused quite a stir and became a unique brand of sorts, which remains recognizable even beyond the genre's staunchest advocates.
In 2000, the second edition, "The Jungle Book Vol. 2," was released.
As usual, the "book" was divided into two chapters: Breakbeat and Jungle.
In 2023, after a long hiatus for the label, the third part, "Jungle Book Vol. 3," was released.
For the new “Jungle Book Vol.4” 2026 edition, we decided to adhere to tradition. The fourth volume of the book features the most interesting fresh tracks from new-wave artists, as well as from scene masters of that era.
We deliberately moved away from the standard sound of modern studios because we wanted to achieve that "dirty," "basement" sound, which can confidently be attributed to the hallmark of genuine Underground.
