75% of musicians lose money on their music. A study has been published, thanks to which it became known that three quarters of producers do not discourage funds invested in their own creativity. Among these expenses are spending directly on recording, mixing and mastering, as well as on the distribution and promotion of releases.
• 91% of artists themselves are engaged in the promotion of creativity, without turning to labels or companies that work in the field of PR.
• 56% use social networks daily for promotion.
• Three quarters of respondents are going to make a video for their next release.
• Half of the respondents reported plans to try a new format of short videos on Spotify.
The survey was conducted among 1,000 artists, producers, rappers and MC from the USA and the UK on Pirate.com , an international platform for booking studios and rehearsal points.
